Remembrance Day 2021
King George Square. Brisbane
On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, guns fell silent on the Western Front in World War I. Over the past century, this moment has been adopted around the world as a time to remember those who served and sacrificed in all wars and conflicts...
...AND the battles are still going on!
Wounded Heroes respectfully attended King George Square in Brisbane to remember those who have given their lives in service to their country, those who have come home injured or ill, and those who bravely serve the country today.
Our aim on this special day was to raise awareness to the unfolding and continuing crisis our veterans are experiencing. In the last week alone we have had veterans unable to attend medical appointments because they can't afford to get there, others can't afford the meds. Families of veterans needing food vouchers because they can't put food on the table. Veterans with a cardboard box to sleep in!
A lot of veterans are crying out for help and we are trying to be there every step of the way.
WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW!
