We hopefully lifting the spirits of children who will be in hospital over Christmas and we definitely raised awareness
for veterans in crisis.

We are making a difference this Christmas
The Toy Run featured a FAMILY DAY EVENT
at WACOL with entertainment, food and prizes.
The Wounded Heroes parade involved
QFES, SES and RFDS and lead a convoy through Ipswich, Brisbane and Surfers Paradise where members of Social Motorcycle Clubs and delivered presents en-route.
Emergency Services, Big Rigs, Custom Cars, Hot Rods, Classic Cars, Vintage Cars
and Motorcycles departed Wounded Heroes at Grindle Road, WACOL at 9am,
returned at 2pm where Market Stalls, Swap Meet, Food Trucks and entertainment throughout the afternoon with a raffle draw and prizes for a Show&Shine.

New, unwrapped toys (We get lots of stuff for the littlies, but not so much for the older kids.

HOW THE DAY PANNED OUT!
Firstly, this event will provide much needed funding to Wounded Heroes so we can continue the vital support network to veterans, and secondly, as part of the Christmas Toy Run, the Convoy will deliver toys to 3 separate hospitals foundations in the Ipswich, Brisbane and Gold Coast regions to lift the spirits of children who will be in hospital over Christmas.
A parade will depart Wounded Heroes WACOL at 09.00am and return at 2.00pm. WACOL will be host to a Family day with entertainment, Rock n Roll Dancers, fresh food and prizes throughout the day up to 6pm.

Stop Locations on route: A small contingent of motorcycle riders will break off from the event and make stops at Ipswich Hospital Foundation, (LEGACY M.C) Brisbane Children’s Hospital Foundation and Gold Coast University Hospital Children’s Ward to delivery toys. The remainder of the event participants will continue on the planned route.

Depart Grindle Road Wacol to: Ipswich motorway – Brisbane Rd – Thorn St – Quarry Street (Entry to Limestone Park) – Moffatt Street (exit from Limestone Park) – Salisbury Road – Raceview Street – Ripley Road – Centenary MWY.
Legacy M.C and Toy Truck to pull up at Limestone Park, drop off toys and regroup at Centenary Hwy/Logan Motorway.
THERE WILL BE A 10 min STOP AT THE RACEVIEW HOTEL to REGROUP
Ipswich to Brisbane:
Raceview Rd – Ripley Rd – Centenary Hwy – Logan Motorway – Pacific Motorway – Stanley Street – 17 Graham Street - Summerville House.
Rider Volunteers and Toy Truck to break off at Graham Street, Summerville House, to drop off toys and regroup at Joe’s Diner Eagle Farm.
Brisbane to Gold Coast:
Graham Street – Vulture Street – Cordelia Street – Peel Street – Grey Street – William Jolley Bridge – Upper Roma Street – Turbot Street – Wickham Street – Breakfast Creek Road – Kingsford Smith Drive (Stop at Joes Diner to regroup) Gateway Motorway – Pacific Coast Way – Smith Street Motorway – Olsen Ave.
Rider Volunteers to break off and meet liaison at GCUH, drop off toys and rejoin the group at Carrara M1 Motorway Entry.
Gold Coast to Wacol:
Olsen Ave – Smith Street Motorway – Gold Coast Hwy – Sea World Drive – MacArthur Parade – Main Beach Parade - Esplanade Surfers Paradise – Hanlon Street – Gold Coast Hwy – Hooker Boulivard – Nerang Broadbeach Road – Nielsens Road - Pacific Motorway – Logan Motorway – Old Logan Road – Wilruna Street – Grindle Street.
Stops – 1 scheduled stop to regroup at Joes Diner, Eagle Farm.
Estimated duration – 30mins. Motorbikes can refuel at the Caltex Service station 500m from Joes Diner.
