Raising funds for veteran families in crisis.
In the heart of Australia,
a story unfolds—a veteran with a deep-seated vision to embark on a remarkable journey, pushing a wheelbarrow from Wounded Heroes in Bundamba, Queensland, to Canberra.
This 1300km, month-long solo trek, sleeping roadside, symbolises a powerful message of change and hope.
Battling the invisible scars of PTSD and the stark reality of homelessness, this act of endurance aims to challenge and shift the narrative around veterans’ support.
The wheelbarrow, a simple tool, becomes a symbol of the heavy burden carried by many veterans, and the solitary figure pushing it represents the potential of one person to make a significant impact.
The destination is the Prime Minister’s office, the message poignant:
“One is too many,”
highlighting the critical issue of ADF members & veterans suicide rates and veterans forced into homelessness.
This journey is more than a call for policy reform; it’s a beacon of hope and a demand for greater awareness and action. It’s a testament to the strength of the human spirit, aiming to ensure that the sacrifices of veterans are met with the dignity, support, and recognition they deserve.
Australia’s men and women, sons and daughters, husbands and wives, when they sacrifice so much signing on to a life in the Australian Defence Force…..
They become instant heroes,

It’s about time our country starts looking after them, now and into the future………
