An ADF member’s family was faced with a series of overwhelming challenges - his wife suffered a stroke with her family overseas, and shortly after, he was diagnosed with cancer. With both unable to work and awaiting pension support, the family was left in a vulnerable position. Loved ones were interstate and trying to travel to offer support during this critical time.

Wounded Heroes provided immediate assistance with food relief and transport to essential medical appointments - ensuring the family was not alone during one of the most difficult times in their lives.
