About our venue

The Wounded Heroes Australia - Veterans Centre Brisbane houses an Op Shop and a veteran lounge where we host activities, providing a place to meet up with other defence personnel or veterans for a coffee and a chat. Proceeds from our Op Shop go towards our crisis support for veterans and their families. 

OP Shop

Our Op Shop provides a valuable service to both veterans and the greater community with low cost and affordable clothing, shoes, furniture, home décor as well as merchandise for purchase.

Generously donated items allow our charity to sustainably fundraise through Op Shop sales. They also enable us to provide practical support to veterans and their families in need of basics like furniture, clothing, and mobility devices. Overall, donations to our Op Shop help us assist people in crisis, including those transitioning from homelessness to stable accommodation.

Veterans Lounge

The veterans lounge welcomes current serving, transitioning ADF personnel and veterans (and their families) to a space to relax, regroup and belong. We host regular activities such as card games, art classes, book reading, board games and story days where our members can share their experiences with like-minded people.
