Wounded Heroes Australia Celebrates Business for Heroes Graduates

Wounded Heroes Australia – Ipswich Veterans Centre hosted a special celebration in recognition of trainees who successfully completed the Business for Heroes traineeship program on Friday, 19 January. Event attendees were treated to a fashion parade, ceremony, morning tea and special graduation ceremony for traineeship graduates.

 

“We would like to thank our trainees for the amazing work they have done in putting together this fantastic event. A special mention also goes to our channel partners Prestige Staffing Solutions, the Queensland State Government DESBT and TAFE Queensland.” Wounded Heroes Australia, President - Martin Shaw states. 

 

The morning’s celebration was attended by local dignitaries Jennifer Howard MP, Mayor Teresa Harding, Cr Russell Milligan. Representatives from River 94.9, Australian Military Bank, ETC, Designer Life and the community were also in attendance.

 

Wounded Heroes Australia’s Business for Heroes traineeship program is delivered in partnership with Prestige Staffing Solutions. The program is a 20-week paid traineeship, designed to create real employment pathways for veterans and individuals within the workplace, and is suitable for people aged between 16 to 65.

 

This traineeship is available to veterans and/or veteran family members and the community, wanting to gain new workplace skills. 

 

The next intake of traineeships opens 5 February, 2024. On completion Business for Heroes gain a BSB10120 Certificate I in Workplace Skills & Foundation Skills.
