Wounded Heroes Australia provides 24/7 crisis support to veterans and families experiencing emotional and financial hardships. Our ADF Veterans and families face many challenges when they serve and after service. To give back, I’m fundraising my way to raise much needed funds for veteran families. While many of us are caught up in the Christmas rush - planning dinners, lunches and celebrations with family & friends, there are men and women who have dedicated their lives to our freedom who are instead facing the uncertainty of whether they will have a safe place to call home this Christmas.
Every December, our 24/7 Crisis Line experiences a significant surge in calls from struggling Veterans, domestic violence escapees, and families in emergency need. Many face the heartbreaking reality of having no safe accommodation, no fuel to reach safety, or no means to provide Christmas gifts for their children, especially when a parent is deployed or away on duty.

Domestic violence escapees, and families who are facing emergencies no one should confront alone, especially during the holiday season.
