Background & History

Our Journey so far...

The Wounded Heroes Veteran Centre Townsville began its journey on 31 July 2025, when we officially took possession of the building. Just over a week later, on 8 August, we opened our doors to accept donations and received incredible support from the local community.

The Centre reached another important milestone with its soft opening on 9 September, before officially celebrating its Grand Opening on 11 November 2025. Since then, the Centre has continued to grow as a welcoming and supportive space for veterans, current serving ADF members, their families and the wider Townsville community.
